In winter and spring months, valleys, passes, and mountains of the Central Caucasus are very nice for ski touring and ski mountaineering. Normally the slopes of Mt. Elbrus are too icy in winter, but in the second half of the spring they are good for ski climbs, and it is possible to combine excellent ski touring in the Baksan Valley with the ski ascent of the highest peak in Europe.

day 1 - arrival in Moscow; transfer Sheremetyevo Airport - hotel; hotel accommodation
day 2 - transfer hotel - Vnukovo Airport; flight Moscow - Mineralnye Vody; transfer Mineralnye Vody - Baksan Valley (about 180 km); hotel accommodation
day 3 - transfer hotel - Cheget Glade (2100 m); elevating by the Cheget cable way to the upper station (3050 m); climb up along the ridge or to the top of Mt. Cheget (3410 m) and ski descents; coming back to the hotel
day 4 - transfer hotel - Azau Glade (2200 m); elevating by the Elbrus Cableway to the Garabashi Station (3750 m); climb up to the ruins of the Priyut of 11 Hut (4200 m) and ski descents; coming back to the hotel
day 5 - transfer hotel - Djantugan Alpine Base; hike up to the Green Hotel Bivouac (about 2400 m) in the upper part of the Adylsu Valley; ski touring; night in tents
day 6 - ski ascent of Mt. Trapezium (3740 m) along the NW Rib and ski descent to the bivouac; night in tents
day 7 - ski ascent of Mt. Gumachi (3805 m) along the W Ridge and ski descent to the bivouac; night in tents
day 8 - ski ascent of the Aristov Rocks (about 3700 m) and ski descent to the bivouac; coming back to the hotel
day 9 - rest and preparing for Elbrus climbing
day 10 - transfer hotel - Azau Glade; elevating by the Elbrus Cableway to the Garabashi Station (3750 m); acclimatization climb up to the Pastukhov Rocks (4700 m) and ski descents; night at the Garabashi Station
day 11 - ski ascent of the Western (5642 m) or Eastern (5621 m) summit of Mt. Elbrus and ski descent from the top; night at the Garabashi Station
day 12 - coming back to the hotel
day 13 - reserve day for the bad weather
day 14 - transfer Baksan Valley - Mineralnye Vody; flight Mineralnye Vody - Moscow; transfer airport - hotel; hotel accommodation
day 15 - transfer hotel - Sheremetyevo Airport; departure from Moscow
